In a Twitter post from the Ukraine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this video says so much. The destroyed school is missed by students, but the will to go forward and celebrate with the traditional prom waltz signifies a people whose resilience and hope have not been shattered by the brutal invasion from Russia.
Below: Note, in the background – lower left – Ukrainian soldiers keep watch:
Students of School #134, Kharkiv, danced their prom waltz against the backdrop of the ruins of their Alma mater.
Heavily damaged days after #Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February, the school later became the last outpost for #Russian occupiers in Kharkiv.
