An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper teared up during his final radio call with dispatch, as he retired from the department after 40 years of service.

Daws’ son, Roby Daws, shared the emotional video with KOCO 5 as Daws teared up saying goodbye to the department on his final dispatch call.

“Not many people get to see their hero on a daily basis, fortunately I was able to. Best of all, I was able to call him Dad,” Roby Daws said in the post on Facebook.
