A Village Truly Came Together

A village truly came together to donate food, gift certificates and love to our local seniors at Dubin House and Gesher in Cherry Hill over the last couple of days. Many generously donated time, money/gift cards, non perishables, and prepared meals including chicken, brisket, lasagna, matzo ball soup, baked cookies, rotisserie chickens, kugel, potato latkes, chicken soup, vegetable soup, lentil soup, and more!

Scores of our South Jersey residents were given needed food. Also given out were 94 gift cards totaling $2,125 for Shoprite, Aldi, Wholefoods, Cvs, Dollar General, Walgreens, and Wawa!

Organized by South Jersey resident Becky Goldich with a very long list of wonderful and awesome volunteers were loving folks from the Greater Bible Way Temple who donate 200 boxes of food to the senior residents of Dubin House and Gesher. They not only fed the senior residents at Dubin House, but approximately 20 senior residents at another HUD building in Winslow Twp., and approximately 30 Cherryhill residents who stopped by.

This was a true South Jersey blessing.

“It felt very good and rewarding to be able to give back and help. The community was just amazing! People donating gift cards and food, going to the grocery store and cooking. It was more than I imagined.”
